Bengali Chingri (Shrimp) Bhuna
Sweet, savoury, and spicy. It's everything you could ever want in a dish! Especially when its seafood.
Knowing how innovative and fearless my ammu was with trying out new recipes or adding new ingredients to the mix, it inspired me to start cooking more often especially by exploring new proteins such as seafood. Therefore I started off with shrimp. I cooked a basic chingri bhuna that almost all bengalis know how to cook so I could elevate my skills in the future. Knowing how tasty my ammu's food was I based this recipe off of hers and it tastes the exact same but as a beginner. I picked this recipe for the reason that I fell in love with the sweet onions paired with the spiciness of the gravy and the savouriness of the shrimp to pull it all together. Therefore, heres a full recipe below to show you guys exactly how I made it.
